Draftfcb New York expands work on federal anti-drug campaign

The US Office of National Drug Control Policy has expanded DraftfcbNew York’s work to include management of its campaign website and oversight of its social media initiatives. Draftfcb also retained its status as agency of record for the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign after a three-month review process, according to a statement from both organizations.

The agency will also continue to provide strategic leadership, media planning and buying and research and measurement services, according to the statement. Interpublic Group sister agency Initiative will handle all broadcast media buys.

Robert Denniston, director of the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign, said in a statement that the federal government wants the campaign to “become even more relevant to the nation’s youth as we seek to achieve a more significant presence in the online environment.”

Representatives from Draftfcb and the US Office of National Drug Control Policy were not immediately available for comment.
